Foot Dynamics – Pedorthic Clinic
Foot Dynamic’s Pedorthic Clinic offers free foot assessments for people with various foot issues. Our Boise clinic is located in our downtown Boise shoe store, and our Meridian clinic is located off Franklyn between Eagle and Locust Grove. We understand who might need orthotics, why, and how orthotics are supposed to fit and function properly in footwear.
Foot Dynamics’s orthotic fabrication lab, Advanced Casting Technology, is in our Boise store. Since 1997, our lab has provided orthotic fabrication services for medical professionals and consumers worldwide. Our medical-grade orthotics are fabricated according to our pedothist’s prescription and detailed assessment of a person’s foot structure, gait, and existing foot-related problems.
We also fabricate new custom orthotics and refurbish older orthotics from our online orders for “everyday” or “sports-specific” orthotics, providing custom arch support for clients worldwide.

Kevin Chapman, Owner
Kevin Chapman joined Foot Dynamics in 2013 and is now its co-owner. He also co-owns Advanced Casting Technology, Foot Dynamic’s orthotics clinic.
Before Foot Dynamics, he practiced pediatrics in southern California’s professional Ballroom Dance world. He also worked with Under Armor on making a specific design for cleated footwear and one of the largest over-the-counter arch support brands in developing different models. With Foot Dynamics, Kevin has built many relationships with local and distant “foot-related” practitioners, like podiatrists, orthopedists, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and chiropractors. This helps Foot Dynamics meld the experiences from different fields into one store.
Jeff Radke, CPed
Jeff Radke joined Foot Dynamics in 2018. He has been an ABC Certified Pedorthist for 30 years. He’s trained at the Advanced Pedorithic Course NYU Orthotic and Prosthetic Department. His experience includes:
Heading the orthopedic department for Birkenstock USA in Novato, CA;
Fabricating foot orthoses and footwear at the Prosthetic Lab of Rochester, MN;
Serving as a primary referral source of foot orthotic treatment for several departments at the Mayo Clinic.
Janice Farren, S.R.Ch Podiatrist UK
Janice Farren graduated from the Glasgow School of Podiatry in 1981.
She was a practicing podiatrist in Scotland until she moved to Houston, Texas, in 2000. There, she was a foot care specialist and surgical coordinator at Foot Specialists of Memorial, PA. In 2013, she moved to Foot Dynamics to practice pediatrics, and she has been a part of the team ever since.
Matt Warren, Master Ski Boot Fitter
Master Boot Fitter Matt Warren has been wearing and working with ski boots his entire life. He grew up skiing in Colorado with his family. He began his career as an instructor at Bogus Basin in Boise. Then, he managed a rental shop at Mt. Bachelor in Bend, Oregon, for four years. Matt moved on to fitting custom ski boots at the Powder House in Bend and then the Boot Doctors in Taos, NM. Matt perfected his mastery by completing numerous Master Fit University* courses. Matt’s 15+ years in the industry gives him the expertise to assist Foot Dynamic’s skiers with their boot-fitting needs.
*Master Fit University is a training program for boot fitters in the ski industry. Please note that the “America’s Best Boot Fitter’s” designation touted by Master Fit Enterprises is a program that requires companies to purchase products sold by Master Fit and a yearly subscription fee to be part of their listings. Foot Dynamics is not a participant.

I have neuropathy in both feet and went to Foot Dynamics hoping to find some relief. The staff was very professional,... friendly, and knowledgeable. I ended up getting custom orthotics and new shoes that provide better arch support and a wider toe box so that my feet have more room. While they can't cure the neuropathy they sure did help. I'm able to take longer hikes without my feet feeling like they're on fire. I was so pleased with the whole experience that I went back in to get fitted for custom ski boots which I can't wait to try out. I'll review those once I've had a chance to use them but It's highly recommend Foot Dynamics of you have problem feet, are hard to fit, it just want great from a store that knows get and shoes.read more
I suffer from plantar fasciitis and I work on my feet all day. I was experiencing extreme daily foot pain. I saw their... podiatrist and had custom shoe inserts made. I've worn them every day for two years now and I've been free from foot pain the entire time! I tried many things before finding Foot Dynamics and none of them worked. I am forever grateful to them. I had an amazing experience here! I was in dire need of new running sneakers to match up with my custom made orthotics... (from a different place). I went in and was assisted by the lady working there and the podiatrist. They were able to show me what was causing my foot pain, and assist me in finding a perfectly matched shoe. My review is specifically about the ski-boot fitting services that are provided at Foot Dynamics. I grew up skiing and... over the past 10 years have had a TERRIBLE time getting boots to fit pain free. I tried multiple boots from multiple companies and stores. Nothing seemed to help. Custom insoles, custom Liners, stretching the plastic, etc. with no relief. I was so frustrated and miserable I quit for a few years out of disgust. I was recommended to visit 'the Jeffs' at Foot Dynamics to have an assessment and fitting done. I cannot say enough nice things about my experience with them. My initial appointment was an assessment where they measured my feet, observed them in my boots without liners and asked me a number of questions about what hurt. They recommended a pair of hard cork insoles, similar to a Birkenstock foot bed. I was hesitant initially, as I already had some 'custom' insoles, however, Jeff Jacobs explained what was different between the ones I had (too flimsy) and the ones he was recommended (very sturdy). About a week later, I picked up the insoles and went skiing. The difference was night and day. My feet no longer hurt and I can enjoy skiing just as everyone else does. I cannot recommend the services that Foot Dynamics offer enough. If you've struggled with getting ski boots to fit, do yourself a favor and go to Foot Dynamics. They are true experts and have passion for getting people into boots that are comfortable. I wish I had gone to them first instead of wasting time and money elsewhere.read more
Plantar fasciitis! I have not been able to "go for a walk" in years because the pain during and especially after was... unbearable. I've gained so much weight I hardly recognize myself. When I received my sneakers and custom insoles I decided to take my dog for a 1 mile walk and came home 2 miles later. The next day 3 miles and we'll see where we end up by the time the weather invites us to the foot hills and mountains. I'll be back in for trail shoes then. I wish I had known sooner what a difference this would make in my life.read more

I bought my husband a pair of Birkenstocks from the mall for his birthday one year that turned out to be WAY too big. ... After returning them and being told by the person behind the counter they don't order "special sizes" we went in search of a shoe store that was more accommodating. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name that helped us, but he was extremely helpful getting various sizes of different sandals they had in stock for my husband to try on until he found the one that was most comfortable and a perfect fit. He ended up having to special order a narrow size, and it took a few weeks to come in, but it was nice to know we were getting a shoe that was going to be an exact fit in the exact color and style my husband wanted. We were also instructed on how to properly care for the sandals, and we could bring the sandals in to have them resoled at their store for a fraction of the price of buying a new pair. We ended up paying a little more than what I had paid at the mall, but the quality of customer service was well worth it, and the shopping experience was so enjoyable that I returned at a later date to buy a pair for myself. Thank you Foot Dynamics! I look forward to returning in the future when we're ready to buy another pair of shoes/sandals.read more
