"I began running competitively in 1988
in track and cross-country throughout high
school. At the end of high school I noticed
I was having trouble with Illiotibial Band
pain in both knees. I ran in college and had
to give up running due to chronic IT pain
after only two seasons. I picked up cycling
as a sport in 2000 and I have been racing
mountain bikes as a NORBA professional for
the past 5 seasons. I didnt have
the comfort and support of custom orthotics
until this past summer. After an initial
break-in period of no more than a week or so
I began wearing my orthotics exclusively.
When riding my bike I really notice a
more neutral foot alignment and I get more
power out of each pedal stroke. When not
on the bike, I really notice the support
they provide my arches as well as preventing
the internal rotation at the knee. I have
begun to incorporate more running into my
training routine. Since I have been using
my Foot Dynamics orthotics I can run the
same daily mileage as when I was competitive
and pain-free! My run training has gone so
well, I plan to race X-terra triathlons as a
primary focus this coming season. These
events typically include a 10K run portion,
a distance longer than I ran in high school
and college.
I am lucky enough to have two pairs of
these great orthotics. I keep one pair in my
cycling shoes and rotate another pair in my
running/casual shoes. I rely on these
orthotics every day for work and training.

"Howdy....
I was wondering if I can order another
pair of orthotics....you made 2 for me this
winter and I stopped in to pick up the
second set on February 24th. They worked
out well for both my skate and classic XC
ski boots. I want to leave them inside the
foot gear for the season. I transferred one
of the pairs out of my classic boots to my
in-line skates and they really made a HUGE
improvement in foot comfort. I will leave
the other pair in the XC skate boots for use
with roller skis.
I want the additional pair for use in
my sneakers which are a New Balance cross
trainer variety. Maybe I'll get a pair for
my hiking boots and just leave them in
there, too.
