About
Golf Orthotics
Stability is the key to a great golf
swing!
Foot pain among golfers is common.
Walking on uneven terrain, the rotational
effect of the golf swing, miles of trekking
all contribute to an over-use situation
which can affect the feet. Common foot
issues include plantar fasciitis (heel
pain), arch pain, metatarsalgia (fore foot
pain) and knee pain. Providing proper
support with foot orthotics can go a long
way toward eliminate most foot discomfort.
An added benefit to custom foot orthotics
is that by providing a more stable platform
for the feet, your golf swing can improve.
It is important to note, however, that the
P.G.A. does not allow you to create a
stance by altering the shoe or using an
insert which is designed to specifically
affect the golfers swing.
Golf shoes generally have a removable
sock liner which allows the orthotics to be
full length. The trim shape of a golf shoe
insert is generally more pointed than a
running shoe design. |
